rogueclone2s is an independently maintained version of "Rogue Clone II (Data-Separated Edition)," originally created by Yasushi Ito.

The original "Rogue Clone II (Data-Separated Edition)" is an excellent program, but more than 10 years have passed since its creation, and the programming environment has changed significantly. rogueclone2s aims to make this program easier to understand and compile for modern environments.

Key Differences from Original Rogue 5.3

• Rooms are always lit — everything is visible as soon as you enter
• Maze mapping works differently
• Large rooms exist
• Scrolls and potions are identified after a single use
• Items can be dropped at room entrances
